Hardwork VS Smartwork

Gist:
This blog explains in the simplest way possible, about hardwork vs smartwork.

The idea:
If you've ever paid attention in your junior high physics lecture, you probably would have come across this equation:
Work done = (Force x Distance) cosθ

Explanation:
The above equation states that the work done relies on 3 parameters: Force, Distance and cosθ. If you apply 1 N force to achieve a distance of 1m  with an angle of 90º, your total work done would be 0. The bitter fact being that cos90º = 0. What this actually means is, if you apply force perpendicular to the direction of which you desire the object to move, your work done would be 0 .. !!

Think about it! As your θ approaches from 0 to 90, work done moves from 1 to 0 (assuming F=1N, D=1m).

With the above theory, we can clearly state that as θ approaches from 0 to 90, you need to put more effort to achieve the desired result; the effort that could be minimized if you'd align your goals along the direction of what you need to achieve.

Moral:
Try aligning your goals with θ as close as possible to 0º to achieve smart work.

I would love to see some comments on this blog as it is very much a debatable topic. :) Have a great day!
